In 2010 he was the recipient of the Educational Excellence and Distinguished Service Award, Tunxis Community College (award recognizes extraordinary professional services and significant contributions to the college).

Bill has exhibited widely throughout the United States and is an active exhibiting artist.

Bill has been making art for over 45 years and continues to enjoy the creative process. His evolution from printmaking to painting to computer art reflects a desire to become better at his craft and to satisfy his need for deeper and complex imagery.

His work has become increasingly more introspective over the years yet remains open to new and exciting art forms. "In the beginning I was having a lot of fun and learning new techniques constantly, and deciphering what my images meant. Now, I have fun and know exactly what the images mean. I find inspiration in almost anything, a stone, a twig, my cat, or the way the steam pattern comes off a cup of tea".

His childhood in Wisconsin gave him a strong interest in the landscape which turned into a metaphoric translation of his early experiences. "I had profound experiences when I was a child that drew me to search for spiritual connections. Through creating I found a road that brought me to where I find myself today, meditating and reflecting on my practice through art and writing. I love what I do and am ever grateful for what life has given me".
